Topics covered include:
• AC Ripple Voltage
• Modern Drive Belts and changes in Alternator Pulleys
• Descriptions of Alternator Circuits and their functions
• Common problems with these systems
• Trouble codes related to charging system operation and diagnosis
• Toyota non-PCM Controlled vs. PCM Controlled Charging Systems
• Toyota Charging System Fuses
• Honda ELD Charging System
• Aftermarket Scan Tools and equipment used to properly test and diagnose these systems
• Helpful tips that can be used to diagnose and service both Toyota and Honda charging systems

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this class the student will:
• Have a better understanding of computer controlled charging systems for both Toyota and Honda vehicles
• Know how to accurately test both Toyota and Honda charging systems
• Understand the importance of using a Scan Tool to help diagnose Toyota and Honda charging systems
